Happy Friday! I'm so ready to sleep in tomorrow :) Have anything fun planned? Mr. Giraffe and I recently had a date night and went out to dinner. My appetizer was nothing to write home about, but my salad? Amazing! Houlihan's bills it as the Asian Chicken Chop Chop Salad, so I used one of my vegetarian eating-out tricks and asked for the chicken on a separate plate. (Mr. G gave the chicken two thumbs up.) Unfortunately, at $15, it wasn't the most affordable meal, but I plan to make it at home for much cheaper. It's lettuce, cabbage, carrots, snow peas, bell pepper, jicama, peanuts, sesame seeds, and wonton strips or tortilla strips. All fairly normal (except the jicama - this was my first time trying it, tastes like a raw potato), but I never would've thought to combine them myself. (The asparagus was part of my husband's meal that he kindly gifted to me.) I didn't sample the salad dressing - see more of my weird food aversions here - but it was s...
That may be the dumbest waste of money I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteProbably a waste of money, but I think they'd make a good gag gift, haha :)
DeleteThat's hilarious! I think some children might cry if you gave them one - they look quite spooky!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the final weeks of study - hope it is going well!
They are a little spooky now that I think about it!
DeleteThank you for the good luck and all the well wishes you've been giving me! It really boosts my spirits :)
Lucky they are made in America? I can't imagine them having a huge market here in Australia!!
ReplyDeleteI guess made in the USA is one selling point :) I'm not sure they'd sell very well outside the US - is Duck Dynasty on TV in Australia?
DeleteAh no - I didn't even know it was a TV show. Perhaps on cable? Or at midnight?!
Deletehaha, all kinds of strange things are on at midnight. I think the main idea of the show is following around people who make duck calls - those little things duck hunters use?
DeleteI've never heard of Duck Dynasty but that doesn't mean it isn't on TV.
ReplyDeleteHow big are the lollipops? They don't look an attractive or yummy colour! But I agree with you - as a joke gift, something I'd buy my nephews, they'd be fun.
Very true - there are plenty of shows I don't know about either! They're 28 g and I'd guess about 5 cm long? The boys in my family in about the 10-12 age bracket would find these hilarious. :)
