Ladies' Home Journal recently featured an article on Tiny Homes , about 3 different families living in small spaces. The average American home is 2,400 square feet (223 square meters) as of 2010 ( source ), while the homes featured in this article were 128 sq ft (12 sq m), 960 sq ft (89 sq m), and 336 sq ft (31 sq m). average size of an American home through the years The families ranged in size from a married couple to a married couple with 2 kids, and for the most part, they were happy with their decision to downsize and live in smaller digs. cats are terribly too clever sometimes. ours managed to get the lid unscrewed off the treat jar and fish some out with a paw.
ReplyDeleteOh my! That is amazing.
DeleteHa... ha... smart cat!

DeleteHa! My cats are experts at this technique.
ReplyDeleteIs that a cellular window shade? I've been considering getting some because they're supposed to be great for energy efficiency, but I'm just afraid my crazy I-must-be-able-to-look-out-the-window-at-all-times cat would shred it in about 5 minutes! Have your cats ever damaged them?
You have smart kitties :) Yep, it's a cellular window shade. They're about 3 years old now and are holding up fine. Upon closer inspection, there are a few small holes on one side - I think she's using her claws to move the shade to get behind it. I don't think the holes have made a difference in keeping the cold out though. Not sure if it's an option, but would your cat be satisfied if the shade was left up a few inches?
DeleteI always seem to be drawn to your blog titles when I look at the Wordless Wednesday list! Love your smart kitty.
