How do you cut cantaloupe?

Usually I go for the traditional cut-in-half method, but I decided to try something new this time after seeing it here. I think I waste less fruit this way, yay!

  1. I never thought of peeling one. I always scoop it out.

    1. Me too! I usually cut it in half first and scoop out the seeds, but this way let me cut closer to the rind. :)

  2. Hmm, would you peel it and then cut it in half to scoop the seeds out? I have never thought of cubing cantaloupe!

    1. Yup, exactly! I think it was a little faster this way actually.

  3. I confess that I mainly see cantaloupe as a vehicle for vanilla ice cream, in which case cutting it in half provides a handy bowl ;-)
